As a kid, I always dreamed of going to the Hamptons. It just seemed like one of those magical places you saw in movies—coastal, charming, and chic. So when a group of my girls planned a weekend trip, I was immediately in. Whether you’re craving beach walks, cute cafés, or just a break from reality without hopping on a plane, the Hamptons is that girl. This post isn’t packed with travel tips or a full itinerary—it’s more of a memory log for myself and some of my recs/things we did. This was a perfect weekend checked off the bucket list, and a trip that will forever be a core memory for me!

How We Got There
Instead of driving straight in, we opted for the scenic (and honestly, more fun) route: the Cross Sound Ferry from New London, Connecticut to Orient Point, Long Island. The ride was just under two hours, and we brought our car on board so we could cruise to Sag Harbor once we got there. There’s something about being on the water before even arriving at the beach that sets the tone for a slower, softer kind of trip. If you’re coming from New England, I highly recommend this—it turns the travel day into part of the experience.

Where We Stayed
We were lucky enough to stay at a friend’s family home, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Tucked away in a quiet, residential neighborhood, it had that dreamy, coastal charm you imagine when you picture the Hamptons. Just a short walk to both the beach and town, it gave us the best of both worlds—mornings by the water, afternoons wandering boutiques, and evenings around the table with iced lattes or mocktails. It wasn’t overly fancy, but it felt warm, personal, and exactly what we needed for a laid-back girls’ weekend. Sometimes the best trips are the ones that feel like home.
What We Did
Honestly, we kept it super chill (because that’s the vibe here). No intense schedules or must-see lists—just vibes, views, and good company.
Beach Day + S’mores Night
We spent hours at the beach soaking up the sun, walking the shoreline, and collecting seashells like we were little kids. When the sun dipped low, we brought our mini portable s’mores fire pit and started a little fire to roast s’mores. We even made a few new friends along the way. Everyone ended up chatting, sharing snacks, and laughing under the pink sky. It was one of those low-effort, high-reward nights that will forever be a core memory for me.

Sag Harbor Adventures
Sag Harbor is adorable, full of charm, and has amazing food and some pretty fun bars. The town is just as exciting at night as it is during the day, with twinkle lights, cozy streets, and the perfect evening energy. My favorite part was bar hopping—first at The Corner Bar, which had that classic small-town pub feel, and then at Murf’s BackStreet Tavern, a local favorite that’s super laid-back and unpretentious. Both spots had their own unique charm, and we just went with the flow—good drinks, good music, and lots of laughs.

Wölffer Estate Vineyard
Wölffer Estate Vineyard was a full main character moment. From the second we pulled up, it felt like we stepped into a movie. Rows of vines, gorgeous architecture, and that dreamy golden-hour lighting? Yeah, it delivered. We sat outside, sipped on rosé (or mocktails if you’re like me!), snacked on cheese boards, and just talked about life. It was peaceful, pretty, and everything you’d hope for from a Hamptons vineyard visit.

Yacht Walks
At one point, we took a long walk just to gawk at the yachts—and when I say yachts, I mean floating palaces. It was a fun little game of “okay, which one would you live on?” and “how do we become yacht people?” Simple, spontaneous, and lowkey one of the most fun parts of the trip.

The Most Boujee TJ Maxx Ever
Okay, I have to mention this because it was not your average TJ Maxx. We randomly stopped into one nearby, and it was giving designer sample sale energy. Think Zimmermann dresses, designer handbags, and the kind of finds you never see at a regular Maxx. We were literally gasping in the aisles. If you love a good treasure hunt, this place is a dream. We definitely walked out with a few unexpected gems—and it made the shopping feel just as fun as everything else we had planned.

Bay Street Theater (Next Time!)
We didn’t make it inside, but we walked by Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor and omg—it looked so cute. The marquee, the charm, the whole vibe of it just made me want to come back and catch a show someday. It has that classic small-town-but-still-chic energy, and now it’s officially on my list for next time.

Where We Ate
The Hamptons don’t play when it comes to food—and though we kept things simple, the places we did try were all hits.
Sagtown Coffee – Our go-to every morning. The iced lattes, pastries, and breakfast options were chef’s kiss. It’s got that perfect beachy café feel, and we basically became regulars in 48 hours. Literally.

K Pasa – A fun, casual taco spot right by the water. Chips, guac, frozen drinks, and a laid-back vibe that made for the perfect post-beach dinner.

On My List for Next Time
Tutto Il Giorno
We didn’t get a chance to go this trip, but Tutto Il Giorno is definitely on my list for next time. The vibes look immaculate—chic interiors, elevated Italian food, and the kind of place that makes you want to order a glass of wine and stay for hours. I’ve heard amazing things, so it’s officially saved in my notes for the next Hamptons weekend.

That’s a wrap…
That’s all it took to reset my brain, recharge my soul, and fill my camera roll with golden light and salty hair selfies. If you’re wondering whether a mini getaway is worth it—it is. You don’t need a two-week trip across the world to feel new again. Sometimes, all it takes is a few days in a beautiful place with your best friends, no agenda, and the space to just be.
